The Necessity of NC Lathe's Regression to Datum Point

Time:2021-04-29 Views:261

The origin of the CNC machine tool is the reference point adjusted by the machine tool manufacturer. The specific position of the machine origin is set by the machine manufacturer. The CNC system determines the specific position of the machine origin by returning the machine tool to the machine tool datum point, thereby establishing a correct machine tool coordinate system, that is, the function of the CNC machine tool returning to the machine datum point.

When the position detection device of the numerical control machine tool is an absolute encoder, it will be powered by the encoder battery after the power is off, and the change of the position of the machine tool after the power off will be memorized. When the system is powered on, the system exchanges data with the position detection device, and the system refreshes the data so that the coordinate value of the machine tool coordinate system is consistent with the actual position of the machine tool. Therefore, when the position detection device is an absolute encoder, the machine tool does not need to return to the reference point of the machine tool when it is turned on. If the position detection device is an incremental encoder, since the coordinate value memorized by the system is the position before the machine tool is powered off, it may be inconsistent with the actual position of the machine tool. Therefore, when the CNC machine tool of the incremental encoder position detection device is turned on, The operation must be performed on the reference point of the machine tool.

The relative coordinate value refers to the incremental coordinate value of the machine reference point moving from the machine origin to the machine reference point in the coordinate system with the machine origin as the coordinate origin (the coordinate offset value of each axis is 0); the absolute coordinate value refers to The absolute value of the machine reference point in the coordinate system with the machine origin as the coordinate origin (the coordinate offset value of each axis is 0). The machine coordinate value refers to the absolute coordinate value of the machine tool reference point in the coordinate system with the machine tool reference point as the coordinate origin. Of course, different machine tool manufacturers have different definitions of the coordinate system. In actual operation, it should be operated according to the machine tool manual of the machine tool manufacturer.
