Thread Damage on CNC Lathe

Time:2021-06-28 Views:166

CNC vertical lathes are also called vertical CNC lathes. The spindle is perpendicular to the horizontal plane and is a large-diameter circular worktable for clamping workpieces. This machine tool is mainly used to process large and complex parts with large radial dimensions and relatively small axial dimensions. When cutting threads on a CNC vertical lathe, the following problems are often encountered:

1. The thread cutter is damaged during thread turning.

2. I want to change a thread processing tool for high-speed thread processing.

3. After the stringing car is ready, remove it and measure again. Found that the depth is not enough.

These problems often make small CNC lathe manufacturers at a loss, because after the tool is changed or the workpiece is re-clamped, the spiral tool is difficult to align with the original spiral groove, the initial position is not found, and the tooth surface is always messy.

To solve these problems, we must first understand the principle of CNC vertical threading. In order to accurately complete the thread cutting and make the workpiece rotate once, the tool feeds a wire. In order to achieve this goal, a spindle encoder is installed on the lathe, and its synchronization pulse is used as the cutting control signal of the turning tool feed point and return point, so that the pulse number of the feed servo motor has a corresponding relationship with the spindle speed. However, there is no direct mechanical connection between the spindle rotation and the feed movement of the CNC vertical lathe. Therefore, after reloading the tool or workpiece, it is not easy to cut the tip along the original spiral groove.
